Kristine is involved in the local (Tallahassee) poetry community. She supports and works with 100TPC, a world-wide event that promotes sustainability, social justice, and peace through poetry and art.
Kristine is Co-Director of Anhinga Press. Anhinga is a non-profit independent press founded in 1972 in Tallahassee, Florida. The press publishes four full-length poetry collections annually, two of which are contests, The Robert Dana-Anhinga Prize for poetry is open to submissions annually from 2/15 - 5/15. The Levine Prize, administered by Fresno State, has a deadline of September 30. Additionally, the Press publishes chapbooks and broadsides.
Kristine teaches at Florida A&M University where she is founder and Faculty Editor of CaKe, a journal of poetry & art.
